Overcome The Fear of Failure

There are many things that contribute to the fear of failure. It could be how you were programmed to view the world. You could have been exposed to family members that had a limited view of how to make money. The message could have been that it is hard to succeed, and money doesn’t grow on trees.

While success does take time and effort it is our beliefs about success that hurt us. Since there are many failures on the road to success, we learned that failure is a part of life. If you are programmed to believe that failure is something bad, then you will fear it. If you instead grew up with the belief that failure is the golden nugget of life and need it in order to succeed, then you will be equipped to handle it. You will be able to bounce back when it happens.

Failure is feedback and what that feedback does is give you a roadmap to achieving your goals.

One of the hardest parts about dealing with failure is our ability to soothe ourselves through the disappointment that the direction you went was not the “right one.” It was right in the sense that you are getting closer, but you are not there yet. It is not being there yet and having to continue to work at it that most people struggle with. They want everything to be smooth sailing and when a wave tries to take them down, they automatically go to an inner place of disbelief. They begin to…
